Donna Strahm has returned to GMI Agency after spending 16 months as the Nanny for her twin grandsons in the state of Washington. She has been a licensed Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance Agent for 30 years.
Being a natural at taking care of people, Donna is passionate about excellent customer service and detailed oriented in handling each individual’s insurance needs. While she was born a city girl, in her adult years she has enjoyed country living with a personal view to the farming industry. Donna is a proud Mom of a blended family that loves planning events to include an abundance of food and fun for all ages. She also loves to travel and meet new people, enjoys the tranquility of the beach, and spends as much time as possible with family, especially her grandchildren.
Nicole Wiegand has been a licensed Property and Casualty agent since 2012. In addition to her role as Customer Service Representative for GMI Agency, she serves as its Social Media expert. She began her insurance career with a non-standard company, helping customers become legal to drive again. Nicole is engaged to Vic, and they have three young boys and a daughter. In the summer they love to take their family on trips to amusement parks. Nicole and her family recently settled into a new home in Fort Wayne, and have been busy adding their own personal touches.
Kelli Richards is a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent and Agency Manager for GMI Agency. With over 30 years in the insurance industry, Kelli offers considerable Insurance expertise to GMI Agency and its clients. In addition to her extensive experience in Insurance, she also has a diverse background in office administration and professional client servicing, having worked in musical instrument retail, wholesale & manufacturing, property management, food manufacturing & distribution, as well as radio. Born in Anderson, she moved to Fort Wayne to attend International Business College, and has called Fort Wayne home ever since. When she’s not working, she enjoys live entertainment of all kinds, Chicago Cubs baseball, visiting the ocean … and she’ll never pass up an opportunity to spend time with her very close-knit family.
Brian Dettmer has been a licensed Property & Casualty agent since 2006. He graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Ag Econ. Brian worked in the banking industry for 17 years before joining German Mutual Insurance Company of Indiana as Company Manager in 2008. When German Mutual started the GMI Agency, LLC in 2014 and merged with Ousley Insurance, LLC, Brian also became the Company Manager of the agency. Brian and his wife, Shelly, live on a farm outside of Ossian and have a son and daughter.
Verlin Bulmahn is a Purdue University graduate, BS ’72, Ag Econ, worked 16 years for Federal Land Bank in farm mortgage lending and has been in the insurance industry since 1989 as an agent licensed in Indiana in Property & Casualty insurance. Verlin and his wife, Marilyn, reside on a multigenerational farm near Decatur Indiana, where he also has his home office. Their hobbies include enjoying the rural life style & agriculture, reading, cooking and occasionally traveling to new destinations to explore.
Kathy Baker is a licensed producer in Property & Casualty and Life & Health, and holds a designation for CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) through The National Alliance. She has been in the insurance industry since 2005. Kathy and her husband, Ryan, have been married since 2010. In their spare time they like to visit state parks, go camping and fishing. Kathy was born and raised in Waynedale, and she now resides with her husband in Monroeville.
Ed Krueckeberg is an agent for GMI Agency, LLC and works from his home office. He also serves as a director for German Mutual Insurance Company of Indiana. Ed was born and raised in Adams County. He has been in the insurance industry for 32 years. Ed has experience in farming, construction, and farm equipment sales. He was also the building inspector for Adams County. Ed and his wife, Mary Jane, have been married for 37 years. They have eleven living children, twenty-four living great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. In his spare time, he likes to fish, make summer sausage, and attend tractor shows and auctions. Ed and Mary Jane reside in Decatur.
